Jenny Foss

The founder and CEO of JobJenny.com, LLC is a Portland-based career strategist, recruiter, author and the voice of the popular career blog – (you guessed it) https://www.jobjenny.com/the-blog.

A graduate of Michigan State University's School of Journalism, Jenny has written the Ridiculously Awesome Resume KitRidiculously Awesome LinkedIn Kit, and the Ridiculously Awesome Career Pivot Kit. She has also produced job search and career-related video courses, including several done in partnership with LinkedIn Learning. 

Jenny is a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) and the proud owner of the best rescue dog in the history of rescue dogs (no, seriously). 

Karen Friesen

Karen is a Senior Copywriter and Customer Service Manager at Jobjenny.com, LLC, a job search consultancy based in Portland. She is also a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW).

The long-time Oregonian graduated from the University of Portland School of Journalism. She and her husband have three sons, a lovable (yet slightly neurotic) dog and a rotating batch of chickens in the backyard. When she's not dishing up shockingly great resumes, Karen can often be found running the streets of Portland or smoking her competitors in Hood to Coast or the Boston Marathon.

Ursala Garbrecht

As a career services coach, Ursala helps people identify and articulate their unique strengths to potential employers. She employs a collaborative approach to ensure authentic presentation of skills, abilities and motivations. Ursala’s patient demeanor calms clients who are overwhelmed and need encouragement to keep moving forward.

In addition to resume writing, she coaches job seekers on how to freshen resumes even after a job offer, brightens up generic cover letters, and transitioning from self-employment into traditional employment. 

Enrique Ruiz

Currently a sourcer with online retailer WayFair, LLC, Enrique’s career as a “recruitment strategist” began as a youth in Mesa, Arizona when he helped the punk boys connect with the sweet girl they had no idea how to talk to. 

He grew up in a humble family and was taught the value of hard work and respect. Described as “kinda smart, but mostly savvy,” Enrique was accepted into George Fox University, landed an internship, met a gal and put a ring on it. He began working as a recruiter for a large staffing firm, this time enjoying a paycheck while tapping into his natural gift of connecting people. Enrique now works for a prominent online retail company and owns Leadership Matters Coaching, a company that helps individuals with career support. 

Leslie Yeargers 

Leslie is a job distress counselor, job search coach and interview coach with Vicki Lind and Associates. She helps job seekers feel confident during their search, especially those who suffer from residual workplace stress. Leslie enjoys helping people overcome feelings of inadequacy and incompetence brought on by a traumatic work event and help you to calm jitters before interviews.

Leslie is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist who understands the stress and uncertainty a new job search or career change can bring to the entire family.

Professor Rick

After a successful career in business development, account management, and system engineering, Professor Rick has accumulated 15 years as a professor and leader of career development, serving as a technical recruiter, director of career services, resume writer, and career transition expert. He currently runs “Career Relevant Solutions, LLC, in Vancouver, WA, a firm that offers career coaching, training courses and consulting services.
