Learn about PMI Portland’s Upcoming Workshops

alesci leonieHello! I'm Leonie Alesci, your PMI Portland Chapter Director of Workshops. I want to make you aware of some upcoming workshops we have planned for you in the next couple of months. One of the most fun ways to earn your required PDUs is by taking a day (or two) out of your office to network and absorb new knowledge with fellow project managers. Chapter workshops offer you this great opportunity. In February and March, we have two amazing workshops lined up. Delivered by inspirational speakers with impressive backgrounds these workshops will be both exciting and educational. Both presenters have extensive experience leading numerous workshops and presentations for PMI around the world.

Anthony Reed, CPA, PMP, MBA, MS, joins us in February talking about documenting and presenting business requirements in a workshop titled The Psychology, Art, and Science of Gathering Business Requirements. Anthony is a globetrotting business executive and marathoner (26.2-mile/42.2K), has passions for life, adventures, learning, and teaching. He has over 25 years of managing multi-million dollar, international projects.

In March, Alan Mallory, B.Sc, P.Eng, P.E, PMP, will teach us about Agile methods in leadership and time management in a workshop titled Project Everest: Agile Strategies in Leadership and Time Management. Alan is an international speaker, author, and professional development coach who is passionate about human performance and leadership. He has been a mechanical engineer, project manager, and a world record holder in climbing Mount Everest with his family.

For more information check out these workshops on our PMI PDX website. Remember, early registration guarantees a workshop seat and a discount! Soon you will also see some other workshop offerings on portfolio management and agile/lean practices.

We welcome suggestion on workshop topics. Email me at workshop@pmi-portland.org if you have suggestions.

P.S. I am seeking a visionary volunteer to be my Assistant Director. See our Volunteer Opportunities webpage, http://pmi-portland.org/get-involved/volunteer-opportunities.
