Essential Software Requirements (Sponsored by IIBA)Many big books on software requirements and business analysis recommend dozens and dozens of practices. They’re all useful in appropriate situations, but it’s daunting to try to remember—let alone implement—the whole set consistently. However, every project should perform 20 core requirements activities. These lay a solid foundation for success and help teams efficiently and effectively elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and manage their requirements. These practices are valuable for both traditional and agile projects, regardless of the kind of product you’re building. |

Roundtable - Agile PM (Virtual)The Agile PM Roundtable is a collaboration between PMI and AgilePDX. This virtual forum seeks to build connections between the Agile and Project Management communities and strives to create an inclusive environment for people with open and curious minds. This Roundtable alternates between speakers on Agile-related topics to a Lean Coffee style format facilitated by experienced Agile PM's and instructors. The Roundtable meets the second Thursday each month. Meetings start at 7a and end promptly at 8a, and the meeting room usually opens 15 minutes before the official meeting start time to allow you to hang out and talk with colleagues. Please register at https://www.meetup.com/agilepdx-user-group-portland-metro/events/bqbtmryfcdbmb/ and dial in from your device with your favorite early morning brew. A Zoom URL will be provided to confirmed attendees. Feel free to post questions to this meetup prior to the event on the MeetUp site. We welcome divergent opinions and experience reports. Bring your challenges for feedback and support from the group. The topic for May is "When there's more work and fewer workers." Moderators: Brian Kronstad, & David Whitlock
