What an amazing thing it is to witness how constant change can be. At this year’s annual conference, we in the PMI community received a resonating “call to action” by the broader project management community. Bridging the gap between waterfall and agile methodologies, as well as retooling (adoption of new tools and technologies) were at the forefront of the conversation. As a community of professionals who are committed to succeed in the ever globalizing, ever changing landscape of project management, we resolve to meet new business demand head-on. To that end, well established processes are being augmented, replaced, or transformed to meet and stay relevant in this nimble future we call, “today.”

It comes as no surprise that we will continue to see project management methodologies transform over the next twelve months, which is creating significant opportunity for those with the right skillset.

The steady adoption of Agile project management methodologies has created high demand for agile-savvy project practitioners. This trend has grown far beyond the software-development field. Other industries are now taking advantage of agile methodologies, giving PMI-ACP certified professionals a significant advantage in the broader marketplace.

The Project Management Institute (PMI) has developed the PMI-ACP certification for practitioners whose organizations are adopting agile approaches, or who are using agile practices in their projects now.

The PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) credential is designed to:

  • Demonstrate to employers the practitioner’s level of professionalism in agile practices and frameworks (Scrum, XP, Lean and others)
  • Show that the practitioner has the understanding of how agile project teams are formed, and how they operate to achieve the right customer value through quick results
  • Increase practitioner versatility with tools and techniques for measuring and reporting agile success both internally and externally
  • Provide broad understanding of all things agile, not just one disciple, and prepare the practitioner to lead agile training and professional development initiatives

PMI-ACP certification is ideal for practitioners who seek to hold a credible certification based on education and experience!

This course is focused on obtaining the knowledge required to prepare and pass the exam. Instructors are PMI-ACP certified, experienced agilest who can help guide you to success!
