There are still spots available for tomorrow evening's first fall PMI Portland Chapter meeting of the 2019-20 season. We're shaking things up this year, starting with a panel discussion and audience Q&A designed to increase our confidence in leading projects during times of ambiguity.
As most organizations ramp up after the summer slowdown, this is often when project managers experience uncertainty -- in resource availability, project scope, organizational plans and other factors that can derail a project if not met head-on.
Dr. Tim Rahschulte, CEO at the Professional Development Academy and professor of business at George Fox University, will introduce the theme of working through uncertainty in the education session, starting at 4:30, and later moderate a panel discussion with folks who have successfully navigated chaotic environments. Bring your questions!
The September 10 meeting was pushed forward a week due to the Annual Conference, so there will be no late fees charged if you register online. Sign up now and update your event calendar (did we say that it's tomorrow?).
Come say hello to old friends and meet a few new ones tomorrow at the Doubletree Hotel in Portland. We look forward to seeing you there.

Dr. Tim Rahschulte.
Our long format prep course is starting on September 17 and ending October 24, 2019, and runs every Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm.
The prep course allows working professionals to prepare for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) exam.
A PMI Portland Chapter course facilitator will walk participants through the skills and strategies essential to passing the PMP and CAPM exams. Students will receive a copy of the PMBOK (6th) edition, study guide, and access to an online practice exam that simulates the exam environment.
