Workshop - Communicate with Impact (4 hrs) Effective Delegation and Coaching Skills for Busy leaders (4 hrs)

Workshop - Communicate with Impact (4 hrs) Effective Delegation and Coaching Skills for Busy Leaders (4 hrs)

Part 1. Effective communication is one of the most important factors in the success of any individual, organization, or relationship. It is vital to understand how to how to communicate with members of your team, customers, or others who communicate differently than you. Diversity of behavior and perspective can be a great strength to the team when managed well. When it is not understood or appreciated it can cause dysfunction and reduce productivity and engagement.

Part 2. Gain understanding and experience of how to coach and manage direct reports around challenging behavioral issues. Learn the art of giving and receiving feedback for improvement. Participants will learn the responsibility of delegation with or without authority. Help increase engagement in team members through empowering them to learn and grow in their positions. Avoid taking on the responsibilities of your team and learn why this is a challenge for many project managers. You will have the opportunity to practice these skills in response to common behavioral situations in a safe environment, which will give you the confidence to increase your effectiveness immediately.

I have known Spencer Horn for more than a decade. I was on a non-profit board of directors that hired Spencer to be the Executive Director of our organization. We were both passionate about expanding the quality of treatment and support options for children with cancer and blood diseases. I went onto found the Children’s Specialty Center and Cure 4 The Kids Foundation and Spencer worked with a leadership development company of which he became the CEO.

Over the past five years, Spencer has provided leadership and communication training to our organization. Together with his business associate, he helped improve communication, hiring practices, reduce turnover, strengthen trust and team work. We have improved our self-awareness and culture since partnering with Spencer and his team.

The results have allowed my organization and me to operate more effectively. We have improved the leadership capacity of our top managers and are working on the next tier of managers. I have been able to step back from the day-to-day challenges of the business. Spencer and his team have helped me focus on more strategic issues. This has allowed me to take our organization to higher standards of service and improved treatment therapies.

I highly recommend Spencer and his organization. You will improve your results through expanding leadership capabilities and strengthening your culture. Please feel free to contact me.
