Agility has become a standard in software development, but within the past few years more and more companies discover the principles and practices of agile product development can apply successfully to any sector. On Tuesday, July 28, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., the PMI Portland Chapter will host “Breaking the Myth: Agile IS for Everybody,” led by Agile expert, Joe Justice, founder of Team WIKISPEED, the Agile Business Institute, and COO at Formula Ink.
Joe Justice is a TEDx speaker, guest lecturer at both MIT and Oxford University in England, featured in Forbes five times to date, including as owner of a "Company to watch" by Forbes Billionaire Club, cited in more than six business paperbacks and hardcovers, the subject of a Discovery Channel mini-documentary for his work creating the disciplines Extreme Manufacturing, Scrum@Hardware, The Justice Method, and has worked directly for six years with the co-creator of Scrum, Dr. Jeff Sutherland. Joe earns his living by consulting globally as an interim executive for agile organizations, bringing multinational companies increased return on capital. He has designed and built 14 race and road-legal cars himself, some designed and built in as few as 27 minutes. His method of cross-training CAD, CAM, CFD, FEA, procurement, Machine Shop, Composites Shop, Test, and user testing has earned global recognition as the WIKISPEED method.
