Are you looking to secure your Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification, but finding it difficult to articulate your experience on the application? You are not alone. Translating command, operations, and logistics into PMI-approved terminology can feel like learning a whole new language.
Join us for a special collaborative workshop hosted in partnership by the PMI Portland and PMI Olympia chapters. Led by Juan Nieves, President of the PMI Olympia chapter. This session is designed to dismantle the barrier of the PMP application.
Juan will guide you step-by-step through the process of translating achievements, deployments, and leadership roles into the specific project management language the Project Management Institute (PMI) looks for. You will leave with the clarity and confidence needed to submit a successful application.
Pro-Tip for Attendees: To get the most out of this session, please have a rough outline of your key accomplishments ready to work on in real-time!
By the end of this interactive workshop, participants will be able to:
Decode PMI Terminology and Translate Experience Effectively
Draft PMI-Compliant Descriptions: Write concise, high-quality project descriptions that meet PMI’s strict application audit standards.
Navigate the Application Process: Avoid common pitfalls and mistakes that trigger application rejections or audits.
Leverage Local PMI Networks: Connect with resources and mentorship opportunities provided by both the PMI Portland and PMI Olympia chapters to support your ongoing career journey.
