Attention to detail can work well with schedules, costs, and equipment, but the right people can make or break any plan. This presentation uses photos and commentary to describe a 3 month trip in 2016 from Portland, Oregon to Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego.

Blockchain: An Emergent and Disruptive Technology that will impact Projects All Over!

Blockchain (BC) and DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) is an emergent and disruptive technology rapidly pushing through the Gartner’s hype cycle. Multiple efforts are underway from some major companies in the technology ecosystem to migrate systems, concepts, technologies, and verticals into a new method of transactions, based on a “frictionless” system.

About the Speaker

brewer joeJoseph is a passionate leader who is pursuing his Ph.D. in Information Assurance & Security. He has been a project manager for over 20 years, and learned through his Military and Civilian careers critical components and lessons around leadership.

He drives at leadership from the heart, and embodies concepts designed to help propel you from being a Project Manager to being a Project Leader! Find ways to connect with Executives, Present, Speak, Coordinate and frame connections that will enhance and increase your professional appearance. 

Joseph is a passionate leader who is pursuing his Ph.D. in Information Assurance & Security. He has been a project manager for over 20 years.

He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Information Security & Assurance from Capella University, having already attained an MBA from George Fox University, multiple B.S. degree in Project Management and Organizational Leadership, as well as various associates degrees.

He is a college professor teaching at University of Portland, George Fox University, Midland University MBA, Clackamas Community college and more. 

Joseph has been sharing the topic of his research: Blockchain & DLT to various entities across the Portland area. Come learn in this educational hour how Blockchain is driving to change the world of logistics, contracts, HR, Banking, Supply Chain, IT Infrastructure, employment and more. In the next 3-5 years, you will see a multitude of projects begin that are founded on this emergent and disruptive technology.
