The operations portfolio provides the processes and technical infrastructure that support ongoing chapter activities and strategic initiatives. Key areas of focus include:

  • Management and Creation of Website Features and Functionality
  • Management of E-mail and Print communications with membership
  • Support of Event Registration systems and financial interfaces
  • Data and digital content management
  • Management of Chapter assets

Processes Managed

 

Part of supporting the chapter in operational activities will be to draft and ratify operational processes and procedures. This is a key step to chapter maturity. Processes identified for documenting and formalization include:

  • Job Postings Management
  • Website Content Management (Breakfast Roundtables Area)
  • Newsletter Creation
  • Newsletter Distribution
  • Chapter Communications
  • Website New Feature Development (Scoping and Prioritization)

Vice-President
Operations

 

Jimmy Godard

 

The VP of Operations directs and oversees the daily operational activities of the chapter, and sets direction for the future, with the team and with the Board of Directors.


BIO:

Mr. Godard is a technology project manager for Bank of America. He has been with the company for over 10 years. He manages multiple projects that have significant impact on Bank of America globally. In addition, Mr. Godard is a philanthropist. He provides IT consultation to diverse non-profit organizations and individuals on-shore and near-shore.

He likes watching the Apprentice, X-Files, and love spending time with his family.

Technology

The Director of Technology is responsible for the underpinnings of the website, data and computing infrastructure of PMI-Portland. He also functions as backup webmaster.

Director of
Assets

 

 

Chuck McIntyre

 

The Director of Assets' primary responsibilities are:

  • Manage PMI-Portland’s audio, visual, and computer asset schedule
  • Perform equipment maintenance and software updates
  • Work with VP of Operations, VP of Finance to ensure current and supported versions of all required software are installed.
  • Ensure hardware repairs and replacements are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Store equipment when not in use.
  • Develop and maintain a system of tracking equipment allocation.

BIO:

Mr. McIntyre brings with him a wealth of knowledge, expertise and dedication to our organization. He received his Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and his Ph. D. with an emphasis in Quantum Electronics and Communications from Stanford University. He has held employment on the faculty as president at the Oregon Graduate Institute. He worked on projects sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and the Air Force Weapons Laboratory. In addition, he has managed Software R&D domestically, and international including Beijing, Chinal; Munich, Germany, Herzliyya, Israel.

Webmaster


 

Managed presently by the Vp of Operations

 

The webmaster is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the PMI Portland's web presence, This includes the website, calendars, email forwarders, email accounts and distribution lists. This position also creates and maintains events in the chapter registration system.

BIO:

Newsletter

Jani Hansen

 

This newsletter editor is responsible for compiling, editing and distributing the chapter newsletter. This position is not responsible for any of the content of these communication media. This is paid position.


BIO:

Ms. Hansen is a freelance consultant developing training materials, technical documentation and websites for large and small companies. She has a BA in English and an MS in Information and Communication Sciences. She has worked as an IT professional, in Human Resources and a variety of other roles within organizations across the country.

 


Web Calendar Coordinator


The Web Calenar Coordinator maiintains the Chapter web calendar event system. In addition, the coordinator communicates events reminders to the chapter members.

 

 

Linda Ryden

 

BIO:

Ms. Ryden is a member of PMI Portland Chapter has been managing software projects for the past seven years ranging from call centers to ERP implementations.  Originally from California, she earned her Bachelor’s at California State University, Sacramento in International Business in 2004 and then her PMP shortly after relocating to Oregon in 2006.  Linda tenured over six years of valuable technology and leadership experience with Intel Corporation in Folsom, CA and now is a Project Manager with Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. here in Portland.  She is well-spoken and resourceful professional who does not back down from challenges and looks forward to be a contributing member of PMI Portland Chapter Operations group.
