PMI-PORTLAND 2006
SECOND ANNUAL PROJECT EXCELLENCE AWARD
The PMI-Portland Chapter initiated the
first annual "Excellence in Project Management"
Award in 2005 to acknowledge, honor, and widely publicize
project teams for superior performance and execution
of exemplary project management for projects completed
during the past year.
This is the second year for the award
and, with the chapter counting now more than a 1,000
members, this award provides an excellent opportunity
to reach out to the greater business and government
communities and promote the project management profession.
This is a "stand-alone" award
and it is not linked to the criteria set by PMI Global
Operations Center for the International Project of the
Year, or any other award.
Award candidates who meet these other
qualification standards may take their projects forward
to other competitions, independent of the chapter award. Projects
must have been completed (including customer acceptance)
between January 1, 2004 and February 28, 2006.The following
is a timeline for the "Excellence in Project Management"
2006 award:
- A Statement of Interest Form must
be submitted no later than March 31, 2006
- Project Excellence Award Applications
must be submitted no later May
5, 2006
- The winner of the PMI-Portland Chapter's
Project Excellence Award 2006 will be announced at
the June 13, 2006 Chapter Award ceremony and dinner
meeting.
